Mini Blog Tour Day 5
Today I stop by Tim Lebbon's blog to talk about Young Adult books and just what YA really means (i.e., is The Calling YA because it features an eighteen-year-old protagonist, or is there more to it?). Tim is a great writer and a good friend and he had some very nice things to say about The Calling. In fact, he paid me a very high compliment when, in 2005 at the World Horror Convention in New York City, he said The Calling reminded him of a Peter Straub novel. I'll always remember that. So go check out my post, and while you're there check out some of Tim's books, especially his most recent one, The Wild, which he penned with Christopher Golden. Also, in June Tim is partaking in the National Three Peaks Challenge and can use all the help he can get in terms of donations. So help him out!
Mini Blog Tour Day 4
Today I stop by Barry Napier's blog to have a drink and discuss a few things. Barry's a talented writer and poet who was in the Hint Fiction anthology with his surreal story "Through Tiny Windows." His new e-book is a collection of horror stories called 13 Broken Nightlights.
And in case you haven't seen it yet, Stephen Colbert dropped by Jimmy Fallon's show last week to do a version of Rebecca Black's "Friday." Apparently Jimmy Fallon had told his fans that if they raised enough money for charity then Stephen Colbert would do this even though Colbert knew nothing about it previously. But the fans raised more than enough money and Colbert is such a awesome guy that he came through. And the end result is just awesome.
Mini Blog Tour Day 3
Today I stop by David B. Silva's blog to talk about how sometimes just a little kindness goes a long way. While you're there, be sure to check out some of Dave's e-books; his short novel All the Lonely People is definitely worth checking out, and his great collection Through Shattered Glass is coming soon.
Mini Blog Tour Day 2
Today I visit with the awesome Z. Constance Frost -- whose female assassin novel No Shelter kicks some major butt -- to talk about the ins and outs of e-books: the formatting, the pricing, the marketing, etc. Check it out.
